Hello to our loyal and dear community members,
As we have always done, DRIFE continues to share our news and activities as we move towards the aim of making DRIFE the leader in the decentralized mobility sector, one step at a time, one country at a time and one milestone at a time.
So We are happy to announce two major updates in our journey. The first and most important is the migration of DRIFE to a new Layer1 Blockchain, something that we have been working on for sometime and which we believe will add more value to the DRIFE ecosystem. This migration will also entail the migration of the DRF Token as well.
As part of the final stages of integration, we will be migrating the DRF Token as it is a layer one chain and not an EVM compatible chain, we have to issue a whole new token. So that when we launch the DRIFE Dubai app, we will have all the necessary integrations in place on the new blockchain.
The migration of DRF Token also entails restructuring of the DRF Tokenomics. To ensure that we carry out a smooth transition, we will have to cease trading of DRF tokens on exchanges for a specific period of time. The temporary pause in trading will start on March 20th 2024.
This is a good and necessary action, as it will give everyone ample time to prepare for the swap of the new token.
What we are sure of at DRIFE, is that during this whole migration and restructuring process, existing DRF token holders will not be negatively affected by the restructure under any circumstance.
All these changes will ultimately offer more utility for DRF within our ecosystem and new tokenomics which we will go into detail in the upcoming blog post!
In the bigger picture, the current migration is part of our commitment to embracing change as we move closer to achieving our long term goals.
